I used to laugh about people going to tanning salons, now I've been doing it for over 2 years! It started with getting a tan for my son's wedding, and it was cheaper to buy a 1 yr membership. Well, before that year was up, I was hooked!! So, I continue to go. Do I worry about what it's doing to my skin? Of course, even more so lately. It just feels so good laying or standing in those beds. Maybe it's addicting, I don't know. The "experts" now claim that's true.
I do go out of my way to care for my skin though. I use good facial products, and micro-dermabrasion once a month. I use really rich, creamy body lotions- usually twice a day. I prefer shea butter lotions, they are really healthy for your skin, and hemp lotions also work well. I use a good eye cream, I'd have wrinkles there, regardless, but I do try do the best I can.
If you tan, a couple of musts- eye protection and always use lotion specifically for indoor tanning. The tanning salons want you to purchase from them, understandable, that's where they make most of their income! There are alot of very reliable websites where you can purchase your lotion, usually about half the cost of the salons. I never purchase from the salons, only once, when I first started tanning and didn't know any better.
I know, it's not good to tan- a tan means your skin is damaged. No arguement from me, but if you want to tan, please do it safely.
